Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of England, but we have also embedded a number of Vietnamese subjects in our programme to offer students the very best of British and Vietnamese bilingual education. Our students will graduate with International A Levels that are recognised by, and give access to, all of the finest universities around the world.

Global Campus
BVIS takes your child beyond Ho Chi Minh. Our Global Campus allows them to meet and collaborate with students all over the world, both online and in person. Strengths
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old in England. At BVIS HCMC, we provide Pre-Nursery (F1), Nursery (F2) and Reception (F3) education of the highest quality within a safe, caring and stimulating environment.
The school offers an engaging play-based curriculum using teaching and learning materials from the highly regarded British Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. The main emphasis is on providing a secure and nurturing environment that allows all the children to develop at their own pace.
The Early Years Foundation Stage includes the following seven areas of learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development - Communication and Language -Physical Development - Literacy - Mathematics - Understanding the world - Expressive Arts and Design. There is a strong emphasis on personal, social and emotional development as a means by which children develop their skills of independence, problem solving and confidence.
During their time in Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception, children have the opportunity to work towards the Early Learning Goals in the seven areas of learning in both Vietnamese and English. Their dual language acquisition is carefully nurtured through planned opportunities for language learning. BVIS has pioneered a bilingual phonics programme teaching Vietnamese and English phonics using one single approach. A unique feature to BVIS, this programme enables students to learn to read in both languages and eventually become proficient at switching seamlessly between the two languages. Our children start distinguishing and identifying sounds in F2 and start the Read Write Inc Billingual Phonics programme in F3.

Great teachers can ignite creativity and a love of learning. All our teachers are fully qualified and have years of experience working with, and nurturing, young children. Our Early Years teaching team builds great relationships with our parents and shares their knowledge and expertise through regular parent workshops, parent meetings, reports, online learning portfolios, formal and informal updates. Our parents say that our teachers are exceptionally approachable and knowledgeable, and that it is easy to talk to our staff or ask them questions so that parents can support their children at home.
