On the Early Years Campus there are a variety of facilities to meet the needs of our youngest children. Throughout the campus there are well-appointed and air-conditioned classrooms which helps to create a positive and comfortable learning environment for the children. The following facilities to further enhance the children’s development on the campus: an age appropriate sized swimming pool, a sports field, a modern playground, a sleep room, a soft play room, a dining hall, a gym and an assembly room. There is also a parents room which further enhances the community feel of the campus.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that sets high standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. This is the curriculum that all state UK schools follow. There are seven areas of learning and development. These are all interconnected by cross curricular learning but are divided into two sections: The Prime Areas & The Specific Areas

The Specific Areas

These are the areas which are used to strengthen and support the prime areas.

Literacy – In all classrooms the children are given access to a wide range of resources, such as books, songs, rhymes and other written materials to help them to begin reading and writing independently.

Mathematics – Opportunities are provided for the children to develop and practise their skills in counting numbers, performing simple calculations and to describe shapes, space and measures.

Understanding the World – The children are guided to make sense of their physical world and the environment they live in by exploring, observing and finding out about people, places and technology.

Expressive Arts and Design – Teachers support children to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials in a variety of activities including art, music, movement, dance, role-play and stories.

Security Arrangements

We have 24 hour security staff at all campuses. All parents are issued with photographic security passes to enable them to collect their children. Students collected from the various campuses are monitored by the security staff to ascertain that the person collecting them is the authorised person entrusted with this task and if not then they must produce the photographic security pass or their identity checked with the parents/guardians. Students must follow strict safety rules on buses which are supervised by an adult bus monitor.

During the school day the school gates are kept shut and anyone wishing to enter the premises has to ask for admittance from the security guards. All adult visitors are required to wear special identification passes at all times when visiting any of our campuses.

Students are never allowed to leave any of our campuses during school hours unless they are under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian or teacher. The school accepts no responsibility for students who leave any of our campuses without prior authorisation from management. This applies to the time during the normal school day and afterwards during clubs.
