Programs:
- EAL Bridge:
The EAL Bridge program at SNA provides intensive support for students who do not yet have the English language skills required to formally enter the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP). EAL Bridge students are aged 6-8 and study English, Mathematics, Science, I&S, and are taught in the homeroom for Health and Physical Education, Design, Vietnamese and Art.
All students who enrol at SNA are assessed for their English proficiency and will be placed in the EAL Bridge program if deemed necessary. Once they demonstrate that their English language skills have improved and they are able to meet the requirements of the MYP, they will be placed in all MYP classes.
- Primary Years Programme (PYP):
The PYP framework consists of nine subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for primary school students.
In addition, the PYP promotes multilingualism and a solid understanding of the host culture. This is why at SNA, the Vietnamese language curriculum is the foundation of our program. Vietnamese and Social Studies are taught in Vietnamese according to the PYP framework to ensure the integration of students' learning.
- Secondary Years Programme (MYP):
The MYP consists of eight subject groups: language acquisition, language and literature, individuals and societies, science, mathematics, arts, physical education and health, and design.
Students' learning is supported by a minimum of 50 hours of instruction per subject group each school year. In Years 4 and 5, students can choose courses from six of the eight subject groups, which gives students greater flexibility.
- Diploma Programme (DP):
The IB Programme is built around core values such as: Creativity, Activity, Service; Theory of Knowledge and especially the Extended Essay.
Through the IB DP, students reflect on their own knowledge by completing independent research and undertaking a project that often involves community service.
Extracurricular Activities:
SNA encourages all students to push their limits through its Extracurricular Activities (ECA) programme, which offers a wide range of activities in sports, music, arts, technology, languages and societies.
The diversity of activities encourages students to excel by challenging themselves and developing individually and as a team. This approach encourages them to see failure as inevitable, but as a learning experience.
Students have the opportunity to participate in Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) sessions held at the end of the school day. The program includes a variety of music, art and sports activities.
