APU International School (Middle - High School)
Introduction
Since its inception in 2004, APU has continuously participated in the economic development of Vietnam by offering high-quality education to k-12 learners. We have created the Pathway to American Education, paved with high academic standards and quality faculty instruction.
As APU students follow our pathway of dynamically updated curriculum, our supportive, competent and committed teachers assure that learners develop intellectual abilities, social skills, emotional strengths, environmental and global awareness, and lifelong skills.

Strengths
Middle School (6-8)
Each student in the Middle School is encouraged to develop a sense of their individual strengths as they learn new material and master new intellectual, social and physical skills. Through a variety of subjects, students reason logically, communicate their thoughts clearly, and use factual information to test and support their ideas. The curriculum takes into account the varying rates of speed at which children mature and APU is as concerned with the personal development of its students as with their intellectual growth.
High School
The curriculum for the high school program at APU International School is modeled after those of the top prep schools in the United States. By emulating this system, our school ensures that students receive not just an American education but also a competitive one.
The faculty at our school seeks to provide students with a robust and diverse education through instruction in four core subjects—language arts, mathematics, science, and social science—as well as supplemental and peripheral subjects such as English as a Second Language (ESL) and computer science.
Within each subject, students are challenged with specific topics to develop knowledge and competencies that will not only prepare them for university education in the United States but also serve as the basis for continued life-long learning.
Other Requirements
High school students must complete or test out of the advanced level of ELD prior to taking courses in English, Social Science, or Science. Students may be placed in Mathematics, PE, Arts or Technology courses upon passing the Intermediate Level of ELD.
Courses in Vietnamese History, Geography, and Civics are required by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) for all Vietnamese nationals. Elective credits will be given for these courses.
