Our Beliefs

A child-centered approach is the core of our educational philosophy. We believe that every child has an innate desire to learn, is active, and possesses their own unique potential.

• Children are curious about and interested in the world around them, constantly asking questions, exploring, and inquiring about everything in life.

• Children learn most effectively when they are fully engaged in play. They easily grasp and remember basic skills and concepts through exploring and experiencing play.

• Children possess their own unique potentials; they are constantly thinking, applying, and updating their knowledge about life and society every day.

Our Principles

ICK applies 6 principles in our daily teaching:

1. An integrated approach allows teachers to help children form connections between different learning areas. This helps them understand how various concepts and skills are related, as children do not naturally compartmentalize their learning.

2. Drawing on their extensive teaching experience, teachers support children by offering suggestions and guiding activities, rather than doing the tasks for them.

3. Play-based learning is the most natural way to encourage children to learn about themselves and the world around them. It makes learning enjoyable while simultaneously developing their imagination and creativity.

4. We optimize learning and the development of children's cognitive and social-emotional skills through their interactions with daily learning materials, their environment, and the people around them.

5. Children are like little architects; they construct their own new knowledge based on prior experiences, thereby forming an understanding of themselves and the world.

6. Children develop holistically when they are in a collective environment, interacting with other children and being influenced by the people around them daily.
